Farmington Fire Department Goes Full-Time

Farmington made history at the February 17 city council meeting as seven firefighters were sworn in to mark the department's first-ever full-time staffing, while acting mayor Nick Lien took the helm, 46 new homes were approved in south Farmington, and Second Street got the green light for a full reconstruction this year.

1,300 Lakeville Residents Weighed In on Parks & Here's What They Want

Over 1,300 people responded to Lakeville's parks survey. 82% say parks are well-maintained. 90%+ feel safe. The biggest asks: water access, better trail crossings, indoor recreation, cooler playgrounds, and the loudest one, a community center.

The Ghost Town Right Next to Hastings

Point Douglas was one of Minnesota's first settlements, 200 people, two ferries, a sawmill, and most South Metro residents have driven past it a hundred times without knowing it.
