Hastings Water Bills Going Up Another 10% in July

A 10% water rate increase is proposed for July 1, bringing the cumulative increase to 33%, and without more state funding, it could eventually hit 150%.

Farmington Votes to Redesign Police Station Built for 15 People

Council voted 5-0 to approve a $1.2 million design contract for a $20 million police station expansion after a 2024 assessment rated the building "poor condition" with nearly 100 roof patches. The station was built in 2002 for 15 staff—today it's packed with 32.
