Eagan Dedicating New Female Military Memorial Statue on July 2nd

A new statue honoring women veterans is being installed at Eagan's Tribute Plaza near the Community Center, with a public dedication ceremony on July 2 at 6 p.m. Retired Maj. Gen. Johanna Clyborne—the first female to command a brigade and reach brigadier general in the Minnesota Army National Guard—delivers the keynote.

Lakeville's Getting a Second Chipotle, Plus Panera and Leeann Chin

Building permits are flying in Lakeville—a second Chipotle is coming to Heritage Drive, a new building will house both Panera Bread and Leeann Chin, and Pizza Ranch is expanding its FunZone Arcade into the space next door. The city has issued about $151 million in permits this year and ranks #2 in the entire Twin Cities for new home construction.
